~ Holly Mostyn ~: Hello! My name is Holly Mostyn and I am an out-of-state student from Roswell, GA. I’m very excited to be gaining multiple certifications through UTK’s CEHHS and receive my master’s degree in Teaching the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with a concentration in Special Education (receiving both comprehensive and interventionist licensures) with a minor in ASL. I am currently a senior in my fourth year of undergraduate level courses. I choose to study at the University of Tennessee for a plethora of reasons, but the first being that they offered a Deaf Education and Special Education major which suited my niche interests. After touring eight other colleges, Rocky Top felt captivated me with a vibrant volunteer spirit, authenticity, and the variety of activities on such a large campus. I felt a sense of belonging that no other campus offered. I saw myself as a leader here, someone who could make a difference in my local community.
